There are several free workshops, as well as some special not free ones. Plus, there are all sorts of events listed on there to suit your fancy and thrift level.

Recently, Isaac attended one of the Compost and Worm Farming workshops. (This was one of the fabulously free ones!) As well as receiving great information on how to effectively compost and use a worm farm, we also received a free compost bin for our household (there was a choice between compost bin or worm farm). I’m happy to say that our composting and worm farming game has improved, thanks to the workshop. As well as reducing the outgoing food waste from our home, the garden is reaping the benefits. And an added bonus: there is no extra financial outlay for this household reducing and garden gain!

I highly recommend jumping on the council’s events page and checking out what’s on.
